Always Treat Others With Kindness
-
I was told something that brought me to an important point. And I thought it would be a good lesson to share with MPPC.
A girl told me of something that happened to her just a few days ago when she went out to get groceries. She had been sitting in the passenger side of her car in the parking lot as someone else went in to get some things. A man and woman had their car parked right next to her and had their windows rolled down. They said very loudly to the girl that they were tired of people parking next to them (even though that’s the point of being in a parking lot), and accused her of being a human trafficker. That obviously isn’t true, and it made her cry. Little did these people know, this girl had suffered human trafficking herself when she was younger, and was extremely offended and hurt to be accused of such a horrible thing. She told me that she will never forget what they said, and it made her self-conscious to go out in public anymore.
The moral of the story, you absolutely have no idea where someone has been in their life, so you should never…treat people with disrespect. Never ever say something mean to someone when you don’t know their story, and you don’t know where they’ve come from in life.
This girl has told me that lately, before this incident, that her confidence levels have come up, and she has actually done things to take care of herself. I’ve been so proud of her. It is just a shame to see that one act - one comment - can ruin all of that for someone. I am so sorry to anyone who’s been in a similar scenario, and I truly hope you can come back from it. Just take what I say and remember that you should always show kindness to anyone and everyone. Even if they annoy you, even if you’re in a bad mood, just always be kind. You never know what’s on the other side of the picture. -

@Duchess i was JUST explaining this in another post
if you went through something bad then shouldn’t you be able to put yourself in other peoples shoes?
why be rude to someone if thats the exact reason why you have had a hard time? you should help them and make sure they know how special and awesome they are…
something this community doesnt really understand.

@scarlet-lol Well the good thing is there’s always something we can do to teach people how to just…be kind. Yknow? Putting yourself in another person’s shoes, and just realizing, “hold up, wait. I wouldn’t want to be treated this way, so maybe I should stop.” Yknow?

@Duchess Explaining kindness can never be tired out.
Meaningful story, that does put a lot into perspective - being in one’s shoes and seeing if you’d want to be treated like that. Much sorrow for her and people who relate.
We needed this <3 Much thanks.
