my band is the orphan band

let me explain. my band director only shows up to minimal clinics. so we’ll be at a band clinic, and he only shows up to the concert. so when they give instructions they’ll be like “everyone go see your respective band directors, finns high school, oh… your band director isn’t here. well, come here then.” it happened today. we were walking to DQ since theres one in walking distance from the clinic location i was at, right, we walk back, one of the other band directors was like “your band director didn’t walk with you guys- oh you’re from finns high school.” and it’s so embarassing because he always has something better to do then just sit there on his laptop like all the other band directors and just watch and do i really care? no but like they already think my high school is ghetto because it’s predominantly black, so it’s just funny seeing peoples reactions to it. and because of this, mom calls us the orphan band. cause our band father never shows up
