Introducing Myself
-
@OVERLORD I’ve never had a class where I learned anything about it though, what kinda stuff math wise do you do?
-
That’s totally understandable. In my math journey, I’ve explored a bit of everything. But I’d say some ‘wise’ things I ever did was trying to solve Goldbach’s Conjecture. I have made really good attempts tho.
-
Also in Knot Theory maybe Physical Applications or Knot Invariants
-
@OVERLORD that sounds like something I’d do lol
-
Proving Goldbach’s Conjecture is mentally hard
“Every even counting number greater than 2 is equal to the sum of two prime numbers”
-
@OVERLORD
Is there an existing proof out there already? That does sound extremely difficult. I feel like there’s definitely some calculous involved in there that I dont understand yet xD -
I believe one way to solve it is using Graph Theory.
In my POV, I tried setting a infinite counting limit with Σ
(And yes, I think there are almost-accurate proofs)
-
@OVERLORD
I’m very intrigued. I’ll have to ask my calc teacher if she’s heard of it. I have a friend who would love to try it out as well. Also, how does geogebra work? Is it more powerful than Desmos? that’s what I’ve been using for a while -
GeoGebra provides a versatile environment for exploring and learning various mathematical concepts in an interactive and visual manner. Its combination of geometry, algebra, and dynamic updating makes it a powerful tool for educators, students, and anyone interested in mathematics.
It haves various powerful graphing tools for functions, inequalities, and parametric equations. And also allows you to create constructions by combining points, lines, angles, and shapes using the available tools.
GeoGebra is very useful.
(I use the current version and GeoGebra Classic quite a lot)
-
@OVERLORD
Sounds very cool -
In fact, it is.
On a sidenote, I always have a paper to note mathematical equations. And then later I check if my answers are correct by using the following: Symbolab, Mathway and GeoGebra (Yes, I use all of them at once lol, it’s an insecurity of mine that just wants to be ‘perfect’ on math)

HI
-
Hallo
-
ok
-
@OVERLORD alternative title: MrTree and OVERLORD talking to each other.
-
@OVERLORD yea, just like you said in the Introducing post :)
-
Hello, nice to meet you @OVERLORD,
I think I have seen you around on mpp.
