      As a member of the ADHD Community and as a fellow Person with ADHD I would like to share a video to give you guys a better understanding Of ADHD, and How it affects me and others who have it.

      PS: This video isn’t intended to Diagnose anyone. ADHD Is not Autism but has a lot of common aspects to it that may seem like it.
      @ADHD-Awareness

      As a person with ADHD There are some struggles. Like acting without thinking properly, Getting distracted, Getting too focused on something that doesn’t matter, and so on. But just so you know, that doesn’t stop me or anyone else who has the same cognitive disorder from being their best self.

        i’d love to add this to the convo (haven’t watched the video so it may bring this up but here’s my take on it):

        ADHD affects everyone differently. I personally have been diagnosed since I was 9 (i think, i’d have to check the date on my diagnosis when i get home) and I’ve learned a lot of methods in order to handle my ADHD so I can be more efficient in the things I do, obviously I still struggle but I don’t think anyone besides me truly sees the struggles ADHD puts me through. It’s hard to pay attention to things and sit in lectures without zoning out, I can’t sit still like at all, I have to move around or I get anxious. I wear rings to fidget with and it helps me pay attention, it’s such a little fidget that most people don’t see it or realize that I do it and they just say that I’m lying but I literally have a photo of my diagnosis on my phone so L them because I come prepared to school people in ADHD. So I say all this to say, just because it doesn’t look like ADHD affects someone, it very much still can/does.

          @finneass When I was in 8th grade, We were taking a test.

          The room was silent. All you can hear was the clicking of my shoelaces hitting the metal on the chair.

          Multiple people told me to stop, I did for a minute then kept going.

          I had to be escorted out of the classroom to test in the hallway.

          It was the most embarrassing moment of my life.
