ME! I had a word with them today about the toilet things and how it’s unfair to girls who are on and things and had a little meeting about it and now their taking it higher up to student council about changing it and getting a period pass for girls when they are due 😋🤭

Star_lover they say that but they done it with people that have toilet passes they still gave them warnings even if they had a medical reason

UTIs may be treated with antibiotics, but they’re not always needed. I have something that’s called a chronic uti where symptoms do not go away at all even if I take antibiotics and even if I do I need to take them for a very long time to make the symptoms fully go away

Star_lover so in conclusion both can’t be helped, well periods you can take birth control or get a surgery to get rid of it completely

@Bandit you get a warning each time you go to the bathroom if you get 3 of those you get an after school detention, that’s what most of my detentions are for

@Bandit I get girls are on their periods yeah but the thing is it’s not as serious as a genuine medical condition someone can’t help especially of it’s chronic and won’t go away, my mum has even treated to pull me out of school because I’d come home telling her the amount of pain I’m in because they’ve told me to hold it in

I also get the period side because I was untreated for my periods, which were incredibly painful and I didn’t realize that I could just go and visit a female doctor at the time, so usually once a month I’d pull myself out of school that day if I started because it’d hurt so bad. Periods can make women have issues too, we don’t like it either, and sometimes they should be excused via bathroom pass every once in a while.

@Bandit yeah Ik but sometimes girls would just use it as a way to get out of being in lessons which I get why you’d want to get that specific rule changed just for periods but it wouldn’t be fair for those who have toilet passes that youre given from your doctor to your school. It’s like a girl on her period being allowed to go to the toilet without a warning but there’s that minority of people who have a medical reason why they generally needing to go but that minority still faces getting a warning and a potential after school detention

There’s teachers who periodically check the bathrooms in my school, that’d be a good solution to help prevent girls from misusing that.

I don’t understand the struggle on a personal point, so I don’t know how it feels as someone in your position, but I’d assume that it’s frustrating and upsetting. People with medical conditions, again, shouldn’t be going through that. I’m not dismissing it, it genuinely sucks and the school needs to get a roundhouse to the face and roughened up a bit. The school just needs a bit of a nudge in the right direction

@Bandit it’s because they want us to have “more education time” and they said if we need to go to the bathroom we need to go at break and lunch. 😐… when I heard that come out my head teachers mouth I just sat there and looked at her. My mum said, “ what do you mean they need more education time. They have two breaks through the day, in total they have 5 lesson for 55 minutes 5 days a week and on top of that revision and homework.”

Multiple assignments from multiple teachers- some of which who normally don’t give a fuck- along with trying to find time with extracurricular activities, a job, AND free time after school… it’s honestly way too much to handle sometimes. That head teacher is a fucking idiot

@Bandit that head teacher is the reason why my brother got kicked out of school- she’s is god awful she’s cares more about the money she earns than the children
