Or if you want ask someone a question like abt a class like “are you in ___’s class?” And once they answer just say cool or nice or a nod. Then if they seem nice, you can ask them questions like “can I borrow a pencil?” Or “do you wanna work together on this project?” And then just communicate more if you’re comfortable enough :) trust me most of the time the people you think look scary are not :)) but the thing is you don’t have to become friends friends if yk what I mean just maybe talk to them once in a while and then you’ll get more comfortable:)) also practice speaking up like when a teacher asks somebody the answer to a question that you already know, just say it :) idk for me it helps a lot like that and the thing about looking approachable is just being kind to everyone. Don’t be too kind either but don’t be rude either. Also if you find someone that is rude towards you don’t communicate with them so yeah. 😅
