Hey all, I’m James. I’m an admin on MPPNet (formerly MPPClone), and I’m the one responsible for such Important Updates™ such as message replies and the AFK tag. I also played a role in the .com/.net split, as I was the one who eventually decided to set up the redirect.

Let’s do a quick-fire round, Shazz style:

• Favorite Color: #64647f (the one I use on MPP)
• Birthday: May 12th
• Favorite games: Quaver and to some extent Risk of Rain 2
• Natural languages: English and Russian
• Programming languages: mostly Node.js, but I tried my hand at a few, with differing degrees of success

I joined MPP back in 2017 while exploring Chrome Experiments, but then left in ~2019, only to come back in 2021-ish, when MPPClone has taken over the backend. I then made my first bot (Seᴍɪᴅɪvine, if you know you know) in 2022, as well as what is now known as MPPDB (which is now managed by Hustandant). I became a mod in February 2023 and was later promoted to an admin in late March.

I’m generally a laid-back kinda guy, but I do try and enforce the existing rules on MPP, which leads to some users trying to antagonize me. I also have a tendency to completely switch communities every once in a while, so no clue how long I’ll be here for.

@Nitsua I’d say not remove it outright (who knows who might still be using those!), but rather make it disabled by default.

The server was down for about half an hour due to issues with the hypervisor. Should be working fine now. If something breaks, let me (or any other MPPNet admin) know.
