@KayaRoseWho That’s not really the point I’m making. Requiring members to publicly ask for a DM before they can privately discuss an issue just adds an unnecessary step to the process. Not everyone is comfortable announcing that they have a problem in a public thread, especially if it involves another member, staff concerns, or something personal.

@KayaRoseWho I understand wanting to avoid drama, but I still think it’s a fair concern to bring up. When someone is part of a staff team, communication and accessibility are important. While people can comment under posts, that isn’t always the most appropriate or effective way to handle concerns, reports, or other issues that may need privacy. Keeping DMs completely closed can make things more difficult for members who genuinely need help. At the end of the day, it’s your choice how you manage your account, but I don’t think it’s unreasonable for people to question how staff communication works when direct contact isn’t available.
