I think it’s just important to know when someone is refusing to change and deny them that “second chance” until it’s clear they are actually going to change. In other words don’t be fooled when someone lies about “changing”
There were actually 4 martyrs (people who died for their faith) in El Salvador in 1980 and one of them actually held the philosophy that she would be merciful to everyone no matter how many times they took advantage of that. I think that’s a good philosophy to live by.
