Precaution for VPNs
-
Despite VPNs being somewhat of a convenience in order to serve as a protection wall, and to secure your private connective information, VPNs should never be used here as follows.
Due to the risk of simply sharing one/multiple VPNs without any intention of knowing the perils, many people who intend an attempt to use one, maybe because they know they’ll get banned, or if they ever get banned, could copy and save these links for future use, therefore evading to their advantage.
As well as privately DMing VPNs, that will also be taken into account. If any are DMed, unintentionally or purposefully for use, we need to know.
Do not, under any circumstance, use, post, or share said links. This is just to keep this community safe, and hack-free of registration/ALT abuse and unfair evasions that could’ve been prevented.
As we have seen with Lavender, we wouldn’t want that to happen again, but I know most of you guys understand, and would never do such a thing.
Just a precaution - Thank you. -
TL;DR:
VPNs shouldn’t be used, shared, or posted around this site no matter what
-
I have a question though:
I use VPNs to evade my school’s restriction policy so I can access MPP.
I don’t ban evade, and I don’t abuse this power regarding MPP.
I’m one of the room operators in TRR (The Roleplay Room)
And (overall, not including times where I lost my power due to _iD change, AND me losing OP for a bit due to a small issue) I have been an OP for a VERY long time.
Does this still count toward me?
Also, I usually log in through Discord, so it uses a special _iD for that specific account.

Goofbread🍌😸 For practical purposes, there could be exceptions, but the overall idea here is to prevent any types of VPNs into being purposefully shared, whether accidental or not, so that no one tries to use them (relating back to the terms ‘post’ and ‘share’ primarily) for whatever unjust reason.
For use, that could depend.
If you’re talking about MPP, and not MPPC, I wouldn’t necessarily know if both sites follow the same etiquette towards VPNs (most likely do), but other than that, if you just use it to bypass your school’s restrictions on order to access MPP, since you say you’re one of the operators, then there shouldn’t be any issues.
If you could, though, relating back to the safety towards avoiding VPNs, would it be possible for you to wait until after school, so that you don’t need to use a VPN?
Or do you have your circumstances in which you need to be on at certain times? -
Shazz_ I do recall Lapis banning someone innocent from MPP just for VPN usage on it, probably a month or so ago
-
Shazz_ The only kind of device compatible with MPP and easy to use is my Chromebook, which belongs to the school.
Other than this, I can’t MPP or MPPC through a device so easy to use.I do have another device, which is my cellular device.
My phone does not do well with displaying websites made for computers, such as MPP and MPPC.I know MPPC is more mobile-friendly (yet it’s still hard to use), but MPP isn’t.
I wish I could access MPP on another PC, but I don’t have anything, unfortunately.

@Laws they probably didn’t get permission, because they allow vpns if they give permission for its use
-
@Quetzalcoatl Makes sense. Also, are you still having your downvotes be treated as upvotes, or are you finished with that sort of method?
