What's your Furry story?

Disclosure; I’m not interested in becoming a furry. And please no snarky remarks about furries. I’m asking for curiosity’s sake.
I’m curious. I don’t know much about the Furry Fandom and there are a few people on this forum who say that are one. How do people “become” a furry? What’s the attraction? What’s your Furry story?
From what I know, it’s very sexualized and I don’t really agree with it if that’s the entire story. I know there are young people here who are a furry and I sure hope that’s not something they’re involved with. My main curiosity is how do young people get/got into Furryism? And what’s your personal backstory?
