your friend likes your ex but he makes your friend happy so you smile along even though it hurts because this friend knows the shit he put you through for about a year even before you were together. but you already said you didn’t care so you can’t revoke your consent now and you just have to be upset that he didn’t treat you like that in silence. because even though you don’t love him like that anymore that shit still fucking stings and you’re still picking up the pieces from the trauma that he gave you. and you know if they start dating you have to talk to this person but he’s not worth losing this friend over, so you just have to let the old wounds reopen. then your grandma dies and your life falls apart so your moms gonna be emotionally unstable and yelling a lot for the next month. and you know you’re gonna hate yourself for said next month. but you’re already going through stress so you’re trying not to cry at every second of the day but you pretend you’re fine when you’re really not fine but you don’t feel like explaining that your life sucks because you don’t want your friends to worry to or to piss your mom off and make her feel like you hate yourself again and then baam you end up back on antidepressants and those make you wanna kill yourself even more because you’re not yourself. and then you feel like a horrible boyfriend because of all the shit that went down last wednesday and you can’t be there for the person you love with your whole heart because you’re already depressed and suppressing it to make your family happy but you want nothing more than to hear him laugh again. cause haha. thats mee.

One thing, however. If it truly makes you uncomfortable, please talk to your friend about this.
And if your friend gets upset, just know that if they abandon you you just like that for someone shitty like your ex, they’re not for you. You should take time to grieve and let your emotions out. Keep in mind that these emotions will pass, and everything will get better.
Even when you stoop to your lowest, just know that things can get better from there. You may not have reached it yet, but the time will come eventually.

Do you realize the amount of trauma I had to go to fucking therapy for because of him? No you don’t. So no, I don’t want my friend to go through what I went through because of the shit he did to me.
