I'm being harassed for not liking Slipknot.

Basically I have this friend who is a huge Slipknot stan, ironic right? We’re complete opposites, and she’s aware of this. Our music taste is just one minor difference. The thing is, it’s never been a bother until now. She always makes fun of my taste, this includes clothing, makeup, tv shows, movies, genres, food taste, and even room decor. But because she’s one of the only friends I currently have, I’ve let it slide.
Until now, she asked if I wanted to listen to music with her while in a call and of course I said yes. I assumed we were going to listen to maybe 6arelyhuman, Nirvana, or Ghost because we both like them, but nope. She played Slipknot, and it’s not like I hate them, their music just doesn’t hit me the way other music does. I was forced to listen to 2 songs when I finally told her I didn’t want to listen to them. Then she insults me and says “What, would you rather listen to the other blonde b*tch?” Excuse me? Yeah, I actually would. And it’s not like I haven’t given Slipknot a chance, I have multiple times, but I just don’t like it.
Now she won’t stop texting me and sending me messages insulting Taylor Swift and me. Mostly the more popular and “girlie” artists, including Kesha, TS, Shakira, Rihanna, Karol G, etc. It’s honestly exhausting. As if her making fun of everything else I like wasn’t enough. Most people who know me know that I’ve always been that kind of girl. A girlie girl who likes dresses, makeup, Taylor Swift, the mall, and literally every girlie thing you can think of, but come on, it’s 2024, should it even be considered girlie anymore?? Especially since she considers herself a tomboy. Yes she’s said that before. I’m honestly thinking of dropping her.
So yeah, quick summary, a girl is insulting everything I like, including literally every “girlie” singer I like.
(I’m also not putting this in vent because I don’t want it to interfere with actual vents.)

@Soggy_Bread Why can’t friends just not agree on things and still be decent friends lol? It’s not like she’ll convert you Slipknot-ism or whatever. She should just accept that as your friend and move on.
-
@Duchess Literally though, it’s gotten so exhausting and it drains the living hell out of me. Honestly if I were still self conscious, I would’ve stopped liking everything I liked just for her to stop.
-
@Soggy_Bread im not a big fan of slipknot either :T
-
@Soggy_Bread Damn, I’m sorry that’s happening to you. People have their own music tastes, and I have a few friends who absolutely despise country music, but I like it. I haven’t experienced anything like that from any of my friends, however, and I hope that things get better for you.
P.S. I’m also not a fan of Slipknot, the more you know I guess

I understand how you feel. I once dated a slipknot fan, and that didn’t really end out well haha.
You aren’t in the wrong, trust me.
