Regarding adding me to group chats: *please ask first!!*

I will state this right now: this post is NOT targeted at anyone in particular. Many people have done this to me. This is a general PSA for my friends.
I donβt get on MPP/MPPC very much, and when I do, I have a shit ton of notifications. It takes time for me to go through them because I care about what my friends post. However, when you add me to a group chat, I get all of those notifications. I am aware that you can turn off notifications, but I donβt like to do that unless itβs necessary.
I ask that you please ASK me if I want to be added into a GC, because Iβm already in like 6 or 7 different group chats with the same people. I donβt want to leave, because half of them are inactive, but when Iβm in a lot and all of them have the same people, it makes it really hard to go through all my notifications.
That being said, going forward, please please PLEASE ask me if I want to join a group chat first.
TL;DR: Ask me before adding me to a GC, especially if thereβs already ones with the same people in it.*
