Time Isn't Very Kind, Is It?

When I was 3, I wanted to be a vet tech.
When I was 5, I wanted to be an artist.
When I was 7, I wanted to be a singer.
When I was 10, I wanted to be a welder.
When I was 13, I wanted to go into a trade and be a part-time musician.
I am now 16. All I want to be is loved and remembered, but I also wish I hadn’t spent so much time thinking on what I want to be, because now, I miss my childhood, not that I remember much of it.
I wish I had been more carefree, and took more time to appreciate the little moments. I wish I hadn’t been so boring as a child. Now, I am not much better, and I would be ashamed if I had to meet my younger self, and she had to look up to me and see what I’ve become.
Time isn’t very kind, is it?
