I genuinely hope they didn’t satirically believe that you having self-confidence is narcissism, because if so, I’m like, reaaaally losing hope in Americans. I shouldn’t have to redefine a word for my own people who should know what words mean.
Narcissism is a mental health condition where they believe themselves to be a person of high importance or more importance than other people when in reality they are no worse or better.
Self-confidence is, by definition, this goober named Finn.

so apparently according to this girl, the fact that i like myself is narcissistic. i have a photo of me performing in marching band as my background because I love what I do and apparently that makes me “narcissus in the pond” so yeah.
