In two hours my grades will be finalized
-
I have no idea what to do, I got my grades up to two B’s and one C, but I still have one D, which my parents already told me to get rid of. A D is still passing, right? Wrong, according to my parents, it’s basically a fail. The only thing I’m grateful for, is they’re fine with C’s, I just can’t have over two C’s because that’s slacking off.
I have no clue what to do. Two hours to change a D or else I get my phone taken away.
I love school

hey, im saying this (maybe your phone will be taken away so ima say this): I wish you good luck, hopefully you will keep your phone, school is such a good place! Not. however, i hope you’re lucky.

Creek I remember when my dad found out my sister had a D in math. Hes the math guy in the house, so it wasnt acceptable to him. If it were english, i dont think he’d have cared lol. I kind of also thought D was a fail to be honest. I guess its not. Maybe grading was different in your parents’ days. I know if my kid had a D, i would be concerned purely because it is almost a fail.

My parents think anything under an A is bad.
-
@RaeTaylor damn
-
@Duchess D is a fail to me too
-
@RaeTaylor I feel that. basically all of my friend’s parents are the same way, and so now we all hold ourselves to the nearly impossible standard of having all As in every class for the whole year.
-
bro parents sometimes gotta understand that 1 bad grade isn’t end of the world
-
Best on those grades! ;)

People is like this.
Okay… Just imagine your kid is in a test and they score 6 out of 10 as an example. A “6” is not going to predict the future of your child, neither it’s going to mess it up. The score they got is the performance they have done in the end.
Parents need to understand that, not anyone is perfect.

Creek your grades are good, i dont understand why ur parents cant appreciate you having more B’s than your C’s and D’s
-
@MrTree damn those parents are super strict
-
@OVERLORD I know my parents don’t mean harm or anything, they’re actually really nice and understanding, I just set high expectations. I was a straight A student for the longest of time and even got considered for a school program (though my grades dropping ruined that chance). It’s hard not to expect a lot from someone who has given a lot.
They mean well and I know that, the reason I made this post was not to slander my parents, but just to have a little rant I really needed.

Oh, and just to clarify, I did manage to fix my grade to a low C before my deadline. It just took going over some notes, rewatching class recordings, turning in some missing assignments, and reviewing past lessons.
