[A Former User]

Chapter one - The Chase.

Zachary ran, his side aching and his legs sore, but he pushed on, in pain.
Rain poured, Zachary’s airy hair plastered to his head, his vision blurred. But he had no time to move it out of his way, pushing past strangers who gave him dirty looks, but he couldn’t care.
The men in white suits followed Zachary in a minivan with the words ‘MIKE AND TYKE CO’ in big bold letters. Cheezy name, Zachary always thought.
Soon, Zachary slipped on the wet concrete, falling and hitting his head. Thankfully he didn’t damage anything, but he was knocked unconcious.

Chapter two - The lab rats.

Blinking rapidly, Zachary woke up to an eyestrain of bright white all around him, trying to get up and cover his eyes. He couldn’t.
Looking down, he saw the rusty steel cuffs chained to the bed, Rustier nails digging into his wrists.

Zachary screamed for help, to only hear a silent teenagers voice behind him.

“Don’t scream. It doesn’t do anything. We’re stuck here, i’ve already accepted that.”

The little brunette teenager said, sitting cross-legged in a dog crate behind Zachary. A battered, padlocked dog crate. Whoever this was has obviously struggled and attempted to get out, as the crate was smashed and dented.

“Who- who are you?”

Zachary still trying to understand his surroundings.

“I’m assuming the white coats found you.” The child said, her voice strained, as if she herself had been screaming and broke her voice.

“H-how did you know?”

“It’s happened to all of us. What’s your name, New guy?” The child said, trying to weakly smile in a welcoming manner.

“Z-Zachary” He said, looking at the blood seeping from the cuffs on his hands, trying to get the nails out of his wrists somehow.

“I’m Dawn. Nice to meet you. Why are you here?”

“They d-”
Zachary immediatley paused, hearing screams coming not too far away.

“Don’t worry, that’s just another idiot who got themselves stuck in here.”

“What? There’s more people here? What are they doing with them? Are they killing them?” Zachary spat out, now rapidly looking around

“Sometimes, if they scream too much. You get used to the sloshing of bodies hitting the ground as the Anomalies eat them. Anyways, continue!”
Dawn said, acting like she didn’t just talk about people being murdered.

“Well, They stole me from my mother as she thought i was a horrible child or some crap. They used me like a lab rat, testing me. They mixed me with cat genes, so now i got them ugly ears.”

“I Don’t think they’re ugly. They make you more special. Besides, cats are cool. I got bitten by a dog in here because i wasn’t listening… So i like cats more!”

Zachary’s eyes widened, Looking around his jail-cell-esqe prison.
“So they don’t mind hurting you? That’s messed up.”

“Eh, they tried to give me some sort of ‘magic’, which was this disgusting thick purple liquid they injected into me for like a month. They’re starting to get pissed it isn’t working.”
She giggled
“I might just kill them the next time they try that again. I’ve done it before and could do it again.”

“Will you- kill me?”
Zachary said, looking slightly frightened, trying to back up, and miserably failing.

“Nah! You haven’t hurt me, why should I?”

“Fair-”

“Anyway, i’m going to sleep. There’s no time over here so we just sleep when we think it’s night. Goodnight, new guy.”
Dawn curled up, trying to conserve as much body heat as possible without a blanket and on a cold metal crate floor

Zachary mumbled goodnight,laying on his back and trying to get comfortable. He stared at the ceiling, trying to fall asleep, shivering cold, soaked in his own blood.

I’m still a young gremlin so it isn’t that good so constructive criticisim is wanted
