I need some good tips on how to use a digital tablet
-
Iβve just gotten one 2 days ago, and itβs been a doozy trying to draw with it. Any artist here got any tips or anything that might help?

Petrol Consumer what kind of tablet? Like one of the ones you can see the screen on, or like one that connects to your computer/wtv and you control through the pad? (Words are hard I apologize.)

π€ππ₯π¬π°π±π£ππ π’π€ The ones that connect to the computer
-
π€ππ₯π¬π°π±π£ππ π’π€ It also has a little screen so I can see where I am drawin.

Petrol Consumer ooh okay, so I recommend calibrating it if you can, and like testing that everything is accurate.
I also recommend not thinking of it like a tablet (especially if youβre more used to traditional art) and think of it more like a pad of paper on a stand (if it has one) that way you can move more like you would on paper, rather than going sort of blank on a tablet.
^ (This is what I did when I had to make a digital fake cell in biology on my momβs tablet.) (It makes sense in my head, but the words arenβt wording very well right now.) ^

Iβm also not super familiar with tablets, but if it has pressure sensitivity, adjust it so that itβs to what feels comfortable. (Again, if you like how pens/pencils/markers/wtv feel, adjust it so that it kind of works like that.)
It really is a sort of trial-and-error thing, but it can help.

Petrol Consumer I would check like the manual to see if thereβs a specific way to calibrate it- Iβm actually not sure how to calibrate one, and it probably differs from tablet to tablet- :'>
