Important information regarding topics

@RyLIE-Offline omg,

@Nitsua Great advice. Haha and I also thought " Discuss " was also for anything to discuss about.
Much appreciated ^^ -
@Nitsua Thanks for clarifying this, I got the whole Discuss thing mixed up before. But what about Share? Is there a fine line between Share and Off-Topic?
-
People don’t seem to take the categories very seriously or respect their purpose. They’re made for a reason, so people should take a second to categorize what type of post they are making. At this point, when I sort out what topics I want to read, such as discussions, I’m getting random stuff mixed in that make no sense. So I can’t even trust that everything in that category is an actual disgution. I still have to bypass tons of stuff. I can only imagine how others might feel about this too. It only takes two seconds to chose the correct category, so please use it.

@Laws Each topic has it’s own description. In this case
Share
has the description:"Publish things that you made, or share cool things that you've found"
. This means that you can share things you made, and if you found something cool you can share it there as well -
@Nitsua In my mind, Share should just be a sub-category of Off-Topic then, as it looks rather dependent.
-
@Laws The reason it isn’t is because it’s typically meant for things you make regarding the site itself. I think one example of this could be a cool bot you made. But I do see where you’re coming from
-
@Nitsua Say if, idk, made digital art or something. It wouldn’t have anything to do with MPP or MPPC, but since it’s something created by me, according to the description, it should allowed in Share. Therefore I don’t think Share should be used solely for original ideas or media relating to MPP or MPPC.
My thoughts–the description of Share could be updated, at least that’s what I see.
-
“Guys, please read the descriptions of the respective category you are about to post in”
-
i was thinking of share being a subtopic of discuss
if share was in off-topic it would be like “memes”
-
-
@Nitsua why does this matter?
-
@Kaya-Rose Use common sense to figure that one out, it’s pretty self-explanatory
-
@Nitsua i want trying to be rude. I was asking why it matter
-
@Nitsua Don’t be rude, please. @Kaya-Rose was just wondering the reasoning behind all of this.
-
@Laws lol
-
@Laws I don’t think I was coming off as being rude? I was just stating that people should really use common sense to figure certain things out
-
@Kaya-Rose it makes it hard to browse the forum
-
@Nitsua i agree, because the description and the name says so
@Everyone read the fucking desc first before you post in a category -
@admin and yes, it does
