She literally just started talking to eccojams like she was dating him without ever having a conversation about it with him ever, never told him she loved him, never asked to get together, never confessed anything, just started calling him names and telling everybody else they were together. Also, I’m pretty sure very few people here like Mari anyways for doing really dumb shit, specifically regarding dating situations. I would highly recommend against dating her, especially since she’s still young and probably doesn’t even understand the concept of love and is bullshitting considering this is all via internet usage and through text. I highly doubt she’s even seen eccojam’s face, and if she has that’s probably the only reason she “likes” him. You don’t just type words a certain way that makes someone “fall in love” with you. It’s attraction through appearance, emotional bond and personality.

My girlfriend, who I will sincerely hope is still with me given we haven’t spoke in a while, was someone I spoke to frequently, played games with (I guess), has seen my face and probably heard my voice, and have known for a while, on top of the fact neither of us have dating history so we can’t even be known as cheaters.
That is a valid relationship upheld through internet.

If your lover has a history of cheating, stop choosing to date them if you know they’ll do it.

@Namira Unfortunately we have been on meets before and she’s seen my face. That was a day or two after this “relationship” started, so that’s not necessarily the reason she did start dating me.

I think if you’re ever in that situation again, dont stay silent about how you feel to not hurt someone’s feelings and be up front as soon as possible. In this scenario, it is extremely important to not lead anyone on, even if it is for the right reasons. It sounded like there was miscommunications and assumptions that were made.
