My Important Advice
-
It’s been a while since I’ve given any advice here, mainly because of my absence, but I’d want to talk about something that some still hesitate to accept about some people, and fail to come to realize without the time needed to do so. It’s okay if we tend to struggle about this because most of us do at some point, but I feel like this needed to be emphasized overall.
From others’ and my past personal experiences, I’ve seen and received assumptions and accusations that someone who envelopes a caring and kind personality carries an unmeaning and senseless purpose, especially in the online world. Many many people only think of it as futile, frankly, and a useless effort that only adds to the churn of the already overflowing mass of unfeeling discourse and whatnot. Certain egos also, and ideologies in people can often be interpreted competitively, and one big problem is that kindness is not really meant to symbolize a competition. It isn’t meant to be seen as something that should always be overtaken with bad intent, but however should be seen as reminders that we all share meaningful connections, without the need to prove any dominance for anything.
What I know for certain, is that each compassionate comment, supportive message, or even a simple act of acknowledgment or sense of passion carries the potential to uplift someone’s spirits, restore their faith in humanity and provide solace in times of distress. Even when the impact of these actions may not always be immediately apparent amidst this noise, it accumulates honestly, and their cumulative effect is amazing, creating effects that allow positivity to extend far beyond their initial starting point. It does not matter at all to whom the person is, what kind of person they are or anything - everyone deserves to be cared for, and everyone deserves chances to be cared for. I’ve always seen it in myself, to make a difference whenever and wherever I can, regardless of the situation because I value it so so much. And like I mentioned earlier, it is never meant to be something that others will take as competitive - I’ve never taken it in that way, and it never should be taken that way by anyone. My advice to you guys: spread your kindness wherever you can! - and as often as you can - never hesitate or feel discouraged even if others may find it illogical for you to. If you’re willing to start an incredible journey filled with making amazing differences and making a lighter and brighter place for everyone, embrace those opportunities because it will embrace you back. Either in the form of helping someone or making their day, it is never distasteful to spread that light unto others!

Fine thoughts, thanks for sharing! Especially in communication too, I also think it important to have a clear-cut communication through those barriers to avoid any assumptions.
I remember a computer instructor who shared how his students would wish him “good morning”, and as small as it was, it made quite a difference there.
For me personally with online folks, I’d like to ask them how they are doing at times. As cliche as it might be, I’m sure and hope that it’ll find them well.

An amazing example for sure - regardless of how much or little you’re willing to give to whomever, unaffected by the kind of person they are, there is no need to question their worthiness in the face of goodwill and kindness because everyone is always needed to feel that value within themselves always.
