I have a really close friend (AKA the guy who I got shipped with on Halloween) who lives a town over, and he recently confessed his feelings for me.
I hadn’t really thought about him like that, and I’m still kind of going through a comp-het crisis. (If you don't know what that is, ask me in DMs.)
I told him I wasn’t really ready to move on to a relationship after that for a multitude of reasons.
He understood, and respected that. We’re still friends.
I just told someone the other day that I’ll wait for him. I mean, it’ll be years (at least 4), but…I still feel terrible.
I want to wait for him, and I don’t feel anything for my other friend, but…it just feels wrong for some reason.

I don’t know why, it just…does.
