mpp was meant to be a website for piano playingā¢ā¢ā¢duetsā¢ā¢ā¢stuff like that, not a bot and social/roleplay nest
bots ruined mpp but so did roleplayers -
@tea-and-crumpets i agree

Juniper I might be biased, but I donāt think anything has ruined MPP. Itās still going strong after all this time in many ways. I still see people playing piano. I think thatās the main thing. The bots donāt really impede that in my opinion. While MPP may never have been intended for bots, itās not necessarily a bad thing that it expanded beyond that original scope. I think .net has improved things by giving people the option to hide bots altogether.

@slowstone72 these days there are more bots than ppl-
-
Blake Thatās a fair point, but I think it reflects the state of the site as a whole rather than being solely about bots. There are less people these days for a variety of reasons outside of bots. Many users still actively play piano or chat. It really depends on how the bots are used. With the option to hide bots entirely, itās still possible to bring the focus back to people and music for those who prefer that.
As a community-run site, I think itās doing pretty well overall.

@slowstone72 Mhm.

Juniper hm
it honestly depends what you mean
because i do think there are a ton of useless bots that just exist to spam the piano and crash the site, but there are some useful bots. Dev room is FULL of bots. like- over fourteen of them i think.
