aita for watching squid game 2 without my mom and step dad?

for background, my mom and step dad wanted me (or needed me at this point) to watch both seasons of squid game. i didnt really have the chance because of school nights and i just didnt really feel comfy watching movies with them as i LOVE watching things myself.
starting off last weekend (friday), i was with my dad and before then i was like, “i should watch squid game both seasons” so i talked about it with my dad and he let me with discretion. binge watched the entire thing.
fast forward to this morning, i told my mom i watched both seasons and she was like “what? we were gonna look it over! (yeah they also wanted me to watch squid game 2 together)” and i felt like she was okay with it. i then ask my mom when my step dad was with her minutes later if you want a hint about s2 (without obvious spoilers) and she decided to say it out loud that i watched both seasons of squid game.
my step dad’s reaction was like “okay, you’re grounded longer” and i was like “what? why?” and he then went “you didn’t follow our instructions”… that’s when i got confused because since when did you police me on when i watch movies? plus i never really watched it, just the spoilers, so i figured i wanna learn about it. my step dad kept going on with this “if your mom and i wanted you to watch squid game 2 with us, then instead of doing this on your own (which it’s just a movie, nothing literally fucking special), you shouldve asked us in a perfect time.”
in my opinion, i dont really feel comfortable watching movies with other people than myself (unless Rēsh-1s is with me but unrelated) because im pretty introverted and i’d pause a LOT to talk about shit going on. it’s not really a trophy if you watch a long horror movie even if it’s pirated or aactually illegal, you just watched a movie and that’s it. to me it’s really fucking stupid if you order people around on what movie i should watch with them because you don’t really have to since you can also watch it yourself. i don’t know but i just want advice if im the asshole for it.
