Would the world pause, if I disappeared,
Or would it move on, as if I’d never appeared?

Would the streets echo my name in the dark,
Or would they be empty, without a spark?
Would the faces around me carry on,
As though the bonds we created had all been for naught?

Would anyone linger at the door I once closed,
Or would they just wander, as life deposed
The moments we shared, the laughter, the pain,
Fading as quickly as raindrops that fall from the sky?

Would anyone care if I vanished tonight,
Or would I dissolve in the blur of their sight?
Would my absence be noticed, or would it be clear
That maybe I never belonged to them here?
