@Cozy-Talk I think school might be starting up soon, or at least next month for some. People have made their posts when school started to end, and saying how they’re afraid to go up a grade. I will tell you, it will be alright. When you grow older and smarter, higher grades might seem daunting, but you can actually do it. Just like when you graduated from kindergarten to first grade. I think to be able to grow as a student, you should try to improve on one thing. At the beginning of the year, people said they’d improve something, but by the end of the summer, I’m curious if those goals are the same. Some people might have changed their mind or lost the motivation.
Are your next-school-year goals the same as they were at the beginning of the summer? What is the one thing you want to improve on this coming year? And how motivated are you to actually to it?

the only reason im worried is that my teacher was very rude, racist and uncalm and the school said that we might have the same teacher again.

I talked about this with my brother and his girlfriend, and I think my goals this year for school are to be able to balance out my life with school, mental and physical health, work, friends, family, etc. I want to be able to control what I do and when I do it, I want to have a time frame to do certain things. For example, 6th grade wasn’t a amazing year since I couldn’t balance my mental health with friendship whilst trying to keep up with the work, it was too much for me and it turned 6th into the worst year. 7th wasn’t as bad but I mostly failed classes because I couldn’t find a balance with friends and studies, so this year I know I want to balance it all out to be able to do the things I like, yet still be able to keep up with my grades.

@Duchess My school goals aren’t the same for this year. I’d be grateful if they gave me homework for a whole year. Cause they rarely do. Only thing that’d actually keep my grades up.
-
what the hell? no homework?
every day i am bombarded with it -

my goals for this year are to sorta make sure im not treated differently for how i identify as i was last year, also hopefully stick with how i was last year, i finished 10th grade in 6 months after mostly doing no work when i was in england and im hoping to complete my junior year in less than the whole school yearto hopefully graduate early, this might not be easy as im going to do band and career center and will be caught up with both all year
-
my school goals are to not be in school

@marvie229 best one

im gonna try and stay alive

@itsSamTheKing I don’t like when schools made students have the same teach twice. I always liked having the new start with a new teacher.
@7o2_an-a Balancing out all the categories in your life is kind of hard, but it takes cutting out time for those things. That’s especially important for mental health since it can be easily swept under the rug. When I’d cut out time for school, it was as soon as I got home and didn’t stop till I was finished because I didn’t want to drag out the work. Then I’d spend the rest of my day doing fun stuff or cleaning.
Sapphire!!! Wow, you want homework lol? Well, honestly, xD Homework was the only thing that kept up my grades too LOL. I was terrible at participation and horrible at tests. So I get it.
@That-Bitch-Astrid ooooo That’s so cool! How amazing would it be to graduate early? I’ve never heard of people doing a whole grade that fast, but wow, great job. Also, how are you planning on making sure you’re not treated differently?
@marvie229 Not be in school? Why?
@1zzylmao That’s a good idea.
-
@Duchess simply put i don’t like school
-
neither do i, you waste so much time learning just one single thing when that indian guy on youtube explains it better in like 20 minutes
-
@marvie229 Well… I know what you mean. But skipping school will more than likely have a bad outcome in the end.
-
@Duchess i was called slurs, made fun of and cat-called by some of the boys in my grade, i honestly ignored it when i should have done something about it
-
@Duchess going in an air bubble

@That-Bitch-Astrid So you mean like you’re tell them off for it?
