My dog is 7 years old. (Not billy) we’ve had her since I was 6. I love her so much. So fucking much. I’d do anything for this dog. She’s literally what kept my mom sane and alive and she’s literally made everyone’s lives better. I remember crying and then going to her to have my face licked. I’ve been so fucking terrified of losing this dog. She’s tired, can’t walk normally like she used to, can’t jump up on us anymore, is irritable… I mean she’s happy and she loves to see us, and I mean she’s still active and still borks a lot. But I’m still just so scared of losing this dog and I’ve been thinking about it every day for the past- year or two. Losing my dog. Even though she’ll probably live up to 12-13 years- it still scares me because she was fixed at such a young age that she has health issues now…

Woah, bud. Calm down, breathe, and vent to your family, friends, or a therapist about this. You don’t want your last cherished memories with your dog worried, do you? You want to feel happy? Spend time with your dog and chill with them while doing an activity you like.

I know pets can mean a whole lot, and it’s very gracious of you to have such a close connection to her. I remember when I had my dog, I gave her the love and care she deserved, but I do wish that I offered her more sometimes. I was younger then, but I do reminisce about it.
I didn’t want to even consider loosing my dog, but I understand how it feels, Cyx. It’s scary to think about, but I’m more than sure you’ll have as much time to spend with your dog than what it may feel like. I hope she can live her life to the fullest :)
