i think we need to renormalize

apologies not being a fix everything. just because someone apologizes doesn’t mean that you have to stop being upset or that you have to accept it. you have a right not to accept their apology and you have a right not to forgive them. if this person is mad about that, they shouldn’t have done the thing that the need to apologize for in the first place. because at this point its “rude” to not accept someones apology and its not okay to continue being mad after they apologize. you don’t have to be ready to forgive them when they apologize.

@finneass Yeah that’s true. I was listening to a talk from a therapist a while ago and I couldn’t believe she said you don’t have to forgive someone right away. I was surprised. I was really letting people off the loose too fast xD
