I just got home and saw some dumbass in the parking lot near my apartment with a CHILD on his lap in the driver’s seat. The adult was in control of the vehicle, yeah, but WHY? Who in their right mind puts their kid, I don’t know whose kid it was (probably not that moron’s child), and that only makes it worse. If you see somebody doing this, please take note of their license plate number, the brand and model of the vehicle, and report it to your local authorities as it is most definitely very illegal to have a child under a certain age/weight range in the front seats, let alone the driver’s seat or on somebodies lap. This may not apply to some countries or provinces within countries, but it’s definitely illegal in the US.

Don’t be like that person and keep your children safe if you ever have any.

@alex People think they can get away with a lot of dangerous things with their kids and no one will care. Parents like that have that “None of your business” “My kid my rules” “Yeah, but I’m watching them” attitude as if them “watching their kid” will prevent their kid from getting into an accident or hurting themselves on other dangerous things. Youre right. People outside shouldnt stay silent about these kinds of encounters. Who knows what other stuff happens.

@Duchess Exactly. It’s these kinds of things that made me decide I don’t want to have children (which I never really wanted to, but thought maybe I’d be a parent some day). I don’t want to raise a child just for them to have to suffer through the shitstorm that is current-day society.

@alex I like to think of it as being the parent that other kids dont have the same opportunity to have. Even though today is kind of crazy, there are people who need to be out there raising kids to be better than that.

@Duchess Honestly, I could do like, a daycare job or something and just take care of kids for parents, or even a foster home worker so I can help prepare children for their future in life.
