I’ve been struggling with doing my homework and doing it well.
The things that I’m best at are my music classes and my photography classes. (Lemme know if you wanna see stuff I’ve done from it.)
I just wish that I could talk to someone in my family or in my school about it, but they’ll all just say ‘oh, you’re just being lazy,’ or ‘maybe you should spend more time studying instead of being on your phone.’ 😔

      I have a C in Math.
I barely have an A in Biology.
      I have a B+ in History.
I only have a B- in photography because I was behind on it. (Temp zeros.)
      I barely have a B in English.
And you literally can’t fail PE.

      Fucking Hamburger Help (er) me.

@just-a-fkn-reaper-3-0 Just because you’re doing bad in school doesn’t always mean it’s because you’re not doing enough. I studied like there was no tomorrow and still stank. But I have some advice I wish someone told me.

          1. Ask questions. Doesnt matter if it sounds stupid or whatever, it will be a game changer, trust me. A lot of what people dont know goes unanswered because they just dont take the extra second to ask about it. It doesnt matter how you do it, weather its a little side note on your homework, asking after class, an email, or even just on the spot right in class. School is literally made for you to learn, so dont cheat yourself out of knowing stuff just because you dont want to bother or are embarrassed to look silly.

          2. Format answers correctly. There was a specific format I knew in school that went like “restate question, answer, explain” or something. Not everyone does this, but when you do, it instantly makes your answers sound smarter, more confident, shows youre paying attention, forces yourself to make sure you read the question correctly, and gets you to think a little more about your answer. Also, if you can explain your answer, it helps your teacher better understand your thinking rather only marking it off as wrong.

          3. Be more confident in your answers. A wise person told me many times that they rather hear someone confidently be wrong than timidly be correct. Dont let your wrong answers taint how smart you view yourself. Wrong answers arent what make you stupid, it’s when you give up.

My advice on math specifically is I would honestly just ask a teacher or student on how to do the math. If you cant, literally look it up on youtube or on a website. You can also ask someone online for math help if needed too. Math is tecnically the easiest subject because it never changes. There are two things that make people think math is hard. 1) Translating the problem. 2) Remembering the rules. Make yourself a guide on the math rules and formats. That way you can look back at it and eventually remember.
