I hate to say it, but yeah-you’re the asshole here. You take away therapy which is supposed to help your child away because of failing grades.
Things like depression and anxiety can’t be cured and can be crippling. That is why there are things like therapy and meds, however, for some fucking reason, people think that once you start to show signs that you’re ‘better,’ it doesn’t give reason to stop treatments. Because guess what will happen again and again if you stop any form of treatment? Things will get worse again.

Another thing is drug tolerance: if your child were to be on anti-depressants and anxiety meds, and you continuously take them off, they could get used to the dose that they receive, and they may need more. Think of it like you have a pain that you’ve gotten used to if you do (x). If someone takes away (x), the pain comes back. And it seems to be twice as worse because you don’t have (x) to help.
If you get (x) back, you may need more of (x) just to get the same feeling of relief. :/
