A heart once mine, now yours to claim
But yours it will never be, for I still hold the flame
Your eyes, they still gleam with a familiar light
But in my heart, your love has lost its might

Your whispers in my ear, a haunting refrain
A constant reminder of the pain you brought again and again
The memories of our love, now tainted with shame
A burden I must bear, a weight that I can’t claim

But still you linger, like a ghost in my mind
A presence that won’t leave, a shadow that won’t unwind
Your eyes, they pierce through the darkness of night
A beacon of hope, a promise of a love that’s not right

Oh, how I wish you would just disappear
Leave me alone, let me live without your fear
But still you stalk me, like a predator in the night
