Sad realization

When people make vent posts like this, they know that itβs just because their parents were raised to think that way. In telling them that, you might as well be trying to justify that personβs parents behavior and that they shouldnβt be βtoo upset about itβ just because the parent is who they are. You may not think youβre being harmful, but please watch what you do and say. You are not helping.
@Adam Rabbit -
Iβd be pretty upset at you myself if you tried to justify my dadβs behavior towards me. So, respectfully, try avoid doing it to this individual.
-
@zack Iβm just saying it the way it is
-
@Adam doesnβt mean itβs a nice thing to say though
this was under βasking for supportβ not βasking for mean truths I already knewβ -
Iβm sorry that Iβm so fucking blunt the way in the way I talk, and I do support them, I truly do, because I know how they feel, my parents are the same fucking way
-
It isnβt necessarily the parents fault theyβre not open-minded, and it is mostly because they grew up in a generation where this shit wasnβt cool. Nevertheless, though, if they canβt change and you donβt want to either, you donβt need to waste your time talking them through it or wasting your time dealing with shitty parents that put their children through emotional harm just because they donβt particularly agree with such and such. Waiting may be difficult, but one day youβll be an adult, you can move out, get your own new life and push them out of it and cut them off like puppet strings.
-
@zack iβm not cutting them off unless i reallyn need to
-
@whatswrongwith-carrie Your choice, not mine. Even so, youβll realize how necessary it is to cut out emotional harm from your life, even if you donβt really get that now.
