Melancholy
-
I drift endlessly upon the infinite lake of lost love, a haven for those who lost the urge to seek out affection, and just wait for it to come to them. The sweet and piercing Violins of Hopelessness play their tune in the sky, playing just beyond the clouds. The Piano of Pained Memory sits upon the water as if it were a solid surface. I swim over and sit on the short wooden bench, opening the case and revealing the ivory keys.
After a few moments of staring at the instrument, my hands hover above the keys and play a saddening melody in A Major. Tears fall down my face as the Violins join the song of blue, adding to the sour mood and making my chest feel heavy inside.
My tears fall on the keys and cause them to glow in the scene of the setting sun. Churning Cellos of Chance rumble and quake as they too join our duet of despair, adding a background melody to keep us in line.Amazing how the universe helps me feel worse, isn’t it? I’ve never seen so many mystical things come together for me until now. Sobbing, I hear yet another instrument join us. The Harp of Heaven dances up and down the scales and chords, adding a bit of stinging flare to the already sour mood.
Like the sun, my happiness fades, and these instruments are the only thing that can help me now.
Oh, my love… If only you were here to soothe my weary eyes and wipe away my tears. I must endure these emotions alone now, without anybody to share this moment with. F sharp, A, C sharp… A and D. These notes build up to my favorite song “Lost Kitten” by Metric. A sad song about losing the person of your dreams and feeling like your lost in the system of your routine.
Nobody is here for me except my instruments.
Everybody has left me… -
Whoa! You came up with this?
