I love celebrating Mardi Gras since we eat king cake and dance to Zydeco music while wearing masquerade masks and Mardi Gras beads during parades. It started as a holiday to take from the rich and give to the poor, and it somewhat still is today from the amount of cultural food served during these events. Chicken runs are even hosted to resemble when people would take chickens from the rich and give them to the poor. It’s an amazing holiday I love celebrating, and it means a lot to me.
