a year ago my cousin died and i went to my so called irl “friend” and he acted like it too so i went to him for comfort and all he said was “its fine” then he walked away and ghosted me like it was my fault or i did some thing wrong and when i mean ghosted i mean GHOSTED he didnt reply to my texts or calls and i never saw him on my weekend walks and he never even said hi in the morning like he always did and day before yesterday i was taking a walk and i overheard him talking to someone and he seriously said “she went to me like i was supposed to fix everything” and this really pissed me off cuz he always went to me with his problems and acted like i could fix everything with a snap so i started telling him about how he acted when he went through something and how i was never able to fix it and the motherfucker said he only hung around cuz he could get free shit
long story short: some jerk used me and ghosted me when i asked for helpc o o k i e s

yourlocalkitkat Sorry about your cousin’s passing, even so a year ago - whoever you to for the comfort that you most need, that person should really have the utmost respect and condolences towards you. Not that they’re forced to, of course, but because it’s more of the morally right thing to do as him being a friend. Anyone for that matter.
If it doesn’t feel like any of his business, then so be it for him. Saying that “it’s fine”, then walking away, well, I don’t think it would cover the entire discomfort here, let alone seeming like he ignored the whole point, but If he has the empathy to leave you alone with reverence after that, then that would be the best for him.
But going as far as ghosting you right after, what real reason would even provoke that in him? If he got asked by you for comfort, then people like him should express their feelings to the person that needs it the most, not complain about it in the first place. It just doesn’t make sense, honestly. -
