But this doesn’t ruin it. Even if it’s in the frying oil, it’s edible otherwise it would be banned.
As stated in the article, no bad health effects have been reported from this cause, so it’s safe to consume this product.
Not only that, it’s only a small hint of it.
Without the silicone hint, it would be much harder to control the foaming within the frying unit, and it would be hazardous and unethical to produce the fries we know and love.
