if you get banned for having either blocked there’s 2 possible issues- angry admin/mod abusing power
- why do you need to see administrator or moderator posts to know to not break the rules? they genuinely shouldn’t have to speak to you and if they do that’s you not them

I stand by this. Quite frankly, if you piss me off, no matter if you’re a simple user or a high-ranking staff member, I should be able to block you. I have the right to talk whoever I want to, when I want to. The lame excuse of “You shouldn’t block the staff because then they won’t be able to contact you if you mess up!!!” is also very annoying and a stupid point. I don’t care. If they’re annoying and I don’t wanna talk to them, then let me do what I want. Also, like you said, if you break the rules and they cannot contact you, it’s your issue and not theirs.

@GoldenGlare Listen, I know blocking staff comes with a huge set of risks. But, as long as you have common sense to know what you can or cannot do, then you should be a-ok.
I just don’t like the “YOU CANT TELL ME WHAT TO DO IM ALWAYS RIGHT” people that block staff and when they get banned for breaking rules they whine how nobody told them to stop. -
@tea-and-crumpets This is rather more personal than objective but I, too, have issues with a few staff members. Not all of them. Maybe 50/50.
If you really feel the need to block ALL staff members then it really tells more about your shitty personality than them. Not all are powerhungry abusers that only cater towards their friends like tin-pot dictators while being dismissive of everybody else. -

Exactly. And then they have the audacity to claim that the staff didn’t ‘understand’ their actions. It’s like they think the rules don’t apply to them, and when they face consequences, they act as if they’re the victim.

I feel like you can be able to block whoever you want but when it comes to staff there has to be some form of communication, so if something happens or if you get banned and want an explanation as to why then you’ll need to speak to the staff. If you have the staff blocked then no communication will happen and things will just end badly.

not only does it give you negative history but it’s harder to do moderation when people don’t listen to you -
