How to make friends and be approachable? /genq

I have like no friends in 4h, and according to my mother i look veery unapproachable so nobody tries

Theres this veyr pretty girl i wanna be friends with but i have no idea how, im very antisocial irl unless im with friends (which, spoiler alert, I HAVE NONE IN 4H 😮)

I literally googled ‘how not to make friends’ and im literally the textbook description of an antisocial, help.

and i mean, it’s kinda true. Yesterday i was there in pj pants hiding behind my mother like a shield

it’s not that easy though, i dont want to be that annoying person that just barges into conversations to say hi. I, from personal experience, have HAD annoying people barge into my conversations. i do not want to be that person.

Nobody comes up to talk to me so i just- leave them alone.

★☆☆☆☆ idk if this’ll work for you but it works for me 😅 wait until someone asks you a question and then you can communicate more with them. Or if you want ask someone a question like abt a class like “are you in ___’s class?” And once they answer just say cool or nice or a nod. Then if they seem nice, you can ask them questions like “can I borrow a pencil?” Or “do you wanna work together on this project?” And then just communicate more if you’re comfortable enough :) trust me most of the time the people you think look scary are not :)) but the thing is you don’t have to become friends friends if yk what I mean just maybe talk to them once in a while and then you’ll get more comfortable:)) also practice speaking up like when a teacher asks somebody the answer to a question that you already know, just say it :) idk for me it helps a lot like that and the thing about looking approachable is just being kind to everyone. Don’t be too kind either but don’t be rude either. Also if you find someone that is rude towards you don’t communicate with them so yeah. 😅

★☆☆☆☆ I’m not sure then 😞 last time I’ve been homeschooled was like 2020 but my advice would be to do the same just ask simple questions you’re comfortable with and then you’ll get more comfortable with people :)
