The last you gave yourself a break?

@CozyTalk I havent done a post for this group in a few weeks. I have been trying to give myself a break when I dont feel like doing things. As much as I believe I should do things despite not feeling like it, I also think itβs very important to give yourself a break once in a while. It is not to be lazy or give up, but to give yourself respect and acknowledge that you cannot do everything flawlessly nonstop β as long as you dont abuse that concept and slack off whenever you want. People should give themselves a break in life too. When things arent going good, you should acknowledge a few things about the situation: 1) Itβs not always your fault. 2) You might not have been able to change the outcome, no matter what 3) It doesnt define who you are as a person. 4) You should learn from it!

It depends on what you consider a break.
Iβm a very busy person, so I have Choir/Orchestra Mon-Fri every day, times varying due to the school schedule, I have theatre when itβs the season, which takes a lot of my time away, and not to mention I have State Solo/Small Ensemble on the 13th (wish me luck!), an orchestra concert on the 18th, a community choir concert on the 24th, State Large Group on May 4th, another choir concert on May 14th, another one on the 26th, because the AβCapella choir sings at graduation, and then June 16-22 is Dorian summer camp (week long or so), and then a week later or so starting June 30-July 28 is Lutheran Summer Music. Soβ¦ :') Itβs gonna be a while? -

Ominous Thatβs nice to hear. Itβs good to turn to friends when you need it, even if itβs just to spend some extra time with them to get your mind off of things.
@Your-Local-Reaper Yikes, that definitely is a lot going on lol. A break can even be as small as sitting down a few minutes to meditate about your day and give yourself some affirmations for everything you do have to accomplish. It might sound silly, but when life is going so fast, it can be very peaceful to just to acknowledge yourself for a second. -
