And like, while I don’t feel safe in my home sometimes, I don’t feel unsafe enough to go through that. And even if I did, I’d probably just crash at my friend’s place, who’s a few blocks over. -

But your mom did NOT have to be so extra about it and take your phone away.
She could have found a way to break that bad habit instead on going straight for unnecessary discipline. -
@Raven-Rae the thing is, I’ve been doing it a lot more lately, and she keeps telling me to stop, have me put bandaids (which just come off) on, etc etc.

It’s only been a month, but I’m not ready to tell her yet. I want to make sure I really like this guy and that things are going to be good.

Okay, that’s one of the things you should actually avoid doing when you have strict parents.
When you don’t tell them what you hide, they will always find out eventually and that what leads to discipline. Then they yap 5-30 mins straight to make sure you never try it again.
The cursed thing is the fact we minors may attempt to go back to whatever we get in trouble for just to get disciplined by our parents again- -
