@Cozy-Talk Today, it’s hard to not just do what everyone else is doing. It feels wrong to be the odd one out. It can feel scary, even, to do what no one else is doing – or dont do what everyone else’s doing. It is important to always do the right thing, and to do what you want to do. I know that it’s easier said than done, but in the grand scheme of things, you will be happier with yourself if you just do what you actually want than just following the stream of fish. And if you ask me, I much more respect those who stand out for what they believe or want.
I also think it is important to say those those who pressure to follow the crowd: Dont. It’s not your choice. It’s not your wants. It ultimately doesnt effect you what someone else does or thinks. So just let someone be. I’m not saying you cant question why someone’s not following, but dont expect them to change. And dont dismiss or belittle their choice either. Im sure if you were to stand up for your belief, you wouldnt want to be attacked either.
How much to do you give into doing what everyone else’s doing?

If its like a fashion trend, if I like it sometimes I’ll follow. But things that are clearly wrong, I’m not following the crowd on that
-
@finneass Yeah, fashion trends are alright. What isnt right is when someone’s scared to speak up about something because they’re scared someone’s going to attack them.

@Duchess none

@Duchess A lot.

I’m a crazy people pleaser so I do basically everything to fit in

I normally don’t follow crowds, whether it be fashion or behavior. I’m more likely to follow trends if they’re from my own friend group, but even then, if I think it’s something that’s bad or wrong, I 90% of the time will advocate against it. Bad stuff is bad, regardless.

My classmates often want to beat the lunch rush hour, but then I tell them, “I am the crowd”.
Jokes aside, I’m naturally far apart from the crowd.
-
@Duchess im the one leading the crowd
