@Cozy-Talk It’s so interesting that these days, everyone seems to be an introvert. There is this false definition of introvertism that says, “if you get drained from a social interaction, youre and introvert,” and that is not true. Introverts can enjoy a social interaction too. They are just more enotionally reserved with themselves. Actually, 85.7% of people are amniverted, which is a little bit of both. Extroverts are more connected to their environment than introverts, which makes them get exhausted easier because they are more sensitive to their social environment. Another thing that leads to social exhaustion is social anxiety, which extroverts get too. For extroverts, they get the mood lift, and then get tired about 3 hours later. What’s funny is that it’s actually if youre introverted that you are more resistant to your work environment. Even negative ones. Today, technology has rusted out people’s abaility to pick up on tone, body language, and facial expressions because people dont talk irl all the time as they used to, which leads to people getting so exhausted trying to translate what people are thinking/feeling about them. This is social anxiety.
I consider myself an extrovert but I suppose Im not sure exactly what I am lol. Im probably an amnivert. I might share my ultra introvert story some time, but that certainly is for another time.

@保志久美 I honestly feel like it’s easier for people to be extroverted online because 1) you can take the time to think about what you’re going to say rather on the fly, and 2) you dont have to interpret facial expressions, tone, and body language so there’s less exhaustion and mental calculation, aka, less anxiety. Though you can still have anxiety online, it’s a whole lot better.

@Duchess I’d say I’m an extrovert, though it really just depends on the setting I’m in. On online, I’m very extroverted, but once I’m in public, I tend to shut down. Though if I’m in a public spot with people I know, I’m very very extroverted and start being the loudest I can. I also get really shy when it comes to meeting new people, but after like an hour or more I am the most hyper person you’ll lay your eyes one. But I also get really anxious when answering the door, making calls, etc. I remember when I first met up with my online friends, I started off pretty shy, but I ended the day with them telling me that I was being too loud lmao.
Honestly, I think I just get weird around people I don’t know, but normally, I’m a really outgoing person, which is why I’ve always considered myself an extrovert. I could always be an ambivert but I’m pretty sure I lean more on the extroverted side.

@Soggy_Bread Yeah, that sounds like a theme with people. Once they get a feel for their environment, they feel more comfortable to express themselves more.
