Why I dont often post about myself.

@Duchess Might as well rename this forum then
-
@A38 I guess.
-
But, we are all still from the same place, so I dont know lol. Mpp doesnt talk about piano 100% of the time. Or even 80%. Sure, maybe piano brought us to this point but talking about piano doesnt build the deeper relationship we have with eachother – which is what makes mpp community so important to us.

Debatable. I feel like only 40-50% of the people here came from MPP. Rest is probably the result of friends inviting their own friends here.
Mpp doesnt talk about piano 100% of the time. Or even 80%.
Because MPP fails to present itself as a site for piano players. Just look at the size of the chat. It takes up the entire screen. No wonder people there don’t even talk about piano-related stuff. The piano just feels like an addon of some sorts.
There are better alternatives to MPP, one of which I’m actively on, and the chat mainly stays on topic of the piano, and there are much more people who actually play it than use a MIDI player there. MPP has a quite hostile environment towards the real piano players due to how easy it is to play MIDIs there.Sure, maybe piano brought us to this point but talking about piano doesnt build the deeper relationship we have with eachother – which is what makes mpp community so important to us.
Again, that’s debatable depending on the person.
While yes, talking about the piano doesn’t build that quite of a deeper relationship to some, for others it might. Some people are actually passionate about the piano, and it could forge super strong bonds. -
@A38 Too be honest, I wasnt looking to debate mpp’s purpose with someone again. It’s clear there are two different kinds of people on this forum and that’s fine. There are people who argue about it not being about piano and there are people who dont really care and just like being around their friends. Frankly, I dont understand why people stay here if they dont like how “off topic” it is. People pop on once in a while to tell us how chaotic it is for being “everything but piano,” but honestly, Im not sure what people expected creating a forum for mpp that is well known for having a young audience. If people want a piano-only forum, you’d just have to find an different or older crowd. I think some people just dont know what mpp really is to the people here. Yeah. Multiplayer Piano. You play piano and talk about piano. But I know people who dont talk to any other community about their life, and specifically stay here because it actually helps them. I know people who have never felt like they could be themselves or ever open up about their struggles. I know people who have nothing besides mppc. I’ve said it before but there’s a reason people try to ban evade. I’ve heard their testimonies about this forum and most of them say the same thing. It’s more than just a forum. It is a family. You might here something different from Flandre or other people who willingly left, but there are still people here who care. Like me.

@A38 ‘forum’

It really doesnt matter where people come from. People inviting their friends proves that mppc is more than a piano forum to them. If that’s where you ahve a problem, then mppc isnt the community for you.

MPP has a quite hostile environment towards the real piano players due to how easy it is to play MIDIs there.It’s a site that has a piano in the middle of the screen and has a little chat box. I dont know what about that doesnt show it’s a site for piano players. If you prefer the alternatives to mpp, you have no obligation to stay here.
Again, that’s debatable depending on the person.
While yes, talking about the piano doesn’t build that quite of a deeper relationship to some, for others it might. Some people are actually passionate about the piano, and it could forge super strong bonds.Yeah, it does depend on the person. But again, people like bonding about things besides piano. People bring their entire life here. People have stories and pasts that we all want to share. I think piano is a good place to start but there are other places to start too. On mpp 4 years ago , I had a deep friendship with a group of people. Piano came up, but the topic was mostly about ourselves and our lives. We care about eachother’s well being more than we cared about playing piano and commenting about it.

I never said it mattered. I just felt like pointing out that fact since we technically all didn’t come from the same place. And excuse me ? I don’t have a problem ???
If people want to invite their friends, then they can, this forum has a mere shadow than it had before. So anything to keep this place lively.It’s a site that has a piano in the middle of the screen and has a little chat box. I dont know what about that doesnt show it’s a site for piano players.
Except the chat is not little. It takes up the entire screen. That’s one tiny reason why piano players are put off. They feel like the site is not about the piano at all.
Secondly, there are tons and tons of people that play Black MIDIs and are bringing about a negative atmosphere, which also puts a lot of piano players off, since they feel like they can’t even play without being overplayed. Now yes, they can make their own rooms, but people see the chaos in lobby and think the whole site is like that.If you prefer the alternatives to mpp, you have no obligation to stay here.
Wow. Okay then. Sure. Was planning on anyway.
On mpp 4 years ago , I had a deep friendship with a group of people. Piano came up, but the topic was mostly about ourselves and our lives. We care about eachother’s well being more than we cared about playing piano and commenting about it.
And that’s okay. Not everything has to be about the piano.
++ I pretty much just felt like calling for a renaming of this site since barely anything has to do with MPP, because it wouldn’t be wise to let’s say make a Minecraft forum or something only for people to talk about Roblox there. It just doesn’t make sense to me. But I’m not gonna complain if the name sticks around.

@ieosl Yeah this isn’t really a forum anymore, it honestly feels like this community is ready to tear apart anyone who says something remotely different than from what their own opinions are. Oh, you don’t like a particular person? You are now enemies with 5 other users. How about disagreeing with someone on a certain belief? Congrats, you just got into an incredibly heated argument that had to be stopped by a moderator, and now them AND their friends hate you. There’s even instances of complete misinformation being spread around. Again, doesn’t really make it feel like a community anymore. It’s just- sometimes- it feels like this website is a huge pool full of sharks. It’s only a matter of time before they get hungry

@Duchess said in Why I dont often post about myself.:
People pop on once in a while to tell us how chaotic it is for being “everything but piano,”
The fact that there are topics about pianos, other musical instruments, and even music sheets for
piano/music pieces on piano in MPPC Them people are just grumpy as hell and got nothin else to do with their life -
𝓑𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓲𝓽 ‘fuck u ur a bitch!!1!!!’ we all say in union
-
@A38 Alright. Cya.
-
@Duchess We don’t blame you! <3
-
It’s worth mentioning I don’t have much time these days, even for piano.
If I do, its during a break week or something. -
@Karol It’s okay Karol.
-
“you have no obligation to stay here” is a wild way to say “fuck off”
-
Ah yes, let’s just argue with the wise words from someone who knew what they were saying and then proceed to tell them to fuck off and imply that we don’t need that person here. How nice coming from an administrator
-
@Α-Σ-Γ FR…
-
@Shade Maybe that’s how other people would say that, but I can guarantee that’s not what I meant by simply saying A38…has no obligation to stay on the site he was talking negatively about,.
-
@Α-Σ-Γ Im not sure why everything Im saying is being interpreted that way, but again, I guarantee that’s not what i meant by “you have no obligation here” I also dont know where you got the “we dont need them” part. Literally everything you two are saying about me are things you think im implying. Again. None is what said.
Now i can apologize if what i said came across as rude, but I never said a38 had to leave. Never. I didnt want him to leave. What you guys dont know is we already talked and agreed there was some miscommunication. If a staff member told you basically all the things they dont like about the site, just about anyone would think the same as me. You dont have to be here if that’s how you feel. That is simply it.
