Yes, yesterday was eventful. And yes, there were decisions made that were regretted by staff. But unless you know the whole story, I don’t expect to hear anymore rumors. I get being upset, I didn’t agree with some of these decisions myself. And all sides were in the wrong to an extent, to be honest with all of you. But until you have heard both sides of the story, you have no right to talk. Yes, it is completely okay to disagree with us, just because we’re staff does not mean that we are always right, at all. Ban appeals exist for that reason. That’s why we have multiple staff members, so we can come to as unbiased of a decision as possible. But even then, sometimes we as staff make decisions that we regret and that are rash and not for the best of the community. We’re human. We can’t help it. But spreading rumors about us because of these mistakes is not okay. We are making changes at the moment to help prevent anymore decisions like this from happening.
So I say all this to say, I get that wrong decisions were made, I get that you guys are upset. But please, instead of spreading rumors, try to understand the situation at hand, and don’t ruin peoples reputations over mistakes.
