For me, it really depends on how “hurt” I am by the person’s actions.
If the person does something light, I usually forgive them within a few days or weeks
If it’s something moderate, usually within a few months
And finally if it’s something completely harsh I most of the time don’t forgive at all and try to distance myself from said person.

It really depends on the severity. But I’d like to say that I forgive pretty fast. I mean there’s specific situations where I’ll never forgive someone, but about 80% of the time I can talk it out with people. If it’s fresh on my mind I’ll definitely be mad about it but as time passes I just let it go because I don’t want those past arguments to influence me to be a negative person
-
@Duchess I forgive but I never forget. Plus you get 2 chances then no
-
i rarely forgive, i move on but i don’t forgive most times. i’ll appreciate the apology and move on but forgiving is so hard for me because i have trust issues
-
Apparently some people often think I either forgive or forget, maybe both, and a lot of the time I do forget, which leads me to forgive, because I can’t really hold something against someone if I don’t even know what they did wrong.
But when I do remember, I don’t necessarily forgive, no matter how friendly I may be around them. But I do get over it.

@Duchess I have a very simple rule i live about,
And that is forgive, never forget.

@Duchess said in How easy is it to forgive?:
How easy is is for you to forgive someone?
I tend to be more of the naive type when it comes to trusting and forgiving. It normally just depends on the situation but normally I forgive and forget pretty easily.
Probably something I should learn not to do lmao

Forgiveness can be good or bad, depending on the situation.
Why am I still here? ☠️
-
if someone wants to be forgiven by me, they’d have to earn my trust again to forgive them
-
For me, it's never been easy too forgive people, I tend too hold grudges against people for quite a while. Its usually too please people [I'm a major people pleaser]
-
I forgive those who deserve it, if they don’t they shall suffer the burden of being forgotten
-
I don’t just forgive anyone to be honest. I forgive you once you’ve redeemed yourself worthy to talk to me.
