Poem #1

There’s this friend with a smile so bright,
A radiant beam that lights up the night.
Her eyes sparkle like diamonds rare,
A treasure to behold, beyond compare.

Her laughter is music to my ears,
A melody that dispels all my fears.
Her smile can calm the stormy sea,
And bring peace to you and me.

Her presence is a work of art,
A masterpiece that touches my heart.
I’m drawn to her like a magnet’s sway,
Helpless, yet happy, every day.

In her eyes, I see a gentle soul,
A kindred spirit that makes me whole.
With her, my heart beats fast and free,
A feeling that’s new, yet meant to be.

Though I may not say it out loud,
My heart beats for her, in a love that’s proud.
If only she could see the way I feel,
Maybe someday, she’ll love me for real.

Poem #2

In twilight’s hush, where shadows play,
A lonely heart beats, far away.
A soul once full, now lost and gray,
Longing for love that’s gone astray.

Tears fall like rain, a sorrow’s sea,
Drowning the dreams that used to be.
Memories of joy, now taunt and tease,
A bittersweet reminder of what’s lost, it seems.

In empty rooms, I wander alone,
Searching for solace, a place to call home.
But like the wind, you’re gone, it’s true,
Leaving me with nothing, but a heart that’s blue.

The stars above, they twinkle bright,
But bring no comfort, to this endless night.
For in their light, I see your face,
A fleeting glimpse, of a love that’s lost its place.

In this dark world, I’m lost and cold,
A fragile leaf, that’s torn and old.
My heart, a heavy burden bears,
A sorrow that’s mine, and mine alone, it shares.

So I’ll wander, through this endless night,
Searching for a glimmer, of a love that’s lost its light.
But like dawn, it’s gone, it’s past,
Leaving me with nothing, but a heart that won’t last.

No, they don’t connect. 🫠
