Good/okay things go bad (tw, politics)
-
I don’t think this is like the other topics here, but realizing this makes me feel like a pessimist, which does fit into this category, no? Anyways, I feel decent for a moment, then once I see a certain website which I visit daily, it makes me annoyed. Just recently, I realized for the millionth time how decent things, concepts, and ideas go horribly wrong in a span of time and I wanted to talk about it.
Examples include:
Elon Musk
America (you would know the rest if you’re a skilled politics person)
Who could forget social media
School
AI
Who could forget the internetThat’s all I’m gonna list, put your ideas down below.

cheesy Wait what?

Sphinx Cheesy’s basically saying that these are good things that are going bad. (I think, so here’s my take on it.)
Elon Musk–literally did two Nazi salutes during the inauguration speeches.
America–need I say more?
Social Media–things have been getting banned, and with certain people in control of them, the quality has just been going downhill.
School–in Texas, I think MLK and white supremacy teachings have been removed from school curriculums state-wide. The bill they passed also bars teachers from teaching on current controversial matters.
AI–started out simple, can literally just create so many problems now. Look at deepfake AI. If someone has your voice and a picture of you, they can make a video of you saying something you’d never say/do.
And the Internet–need I say more? Kind of goes hand in hand with Social Media, but I think you get the idea atp. -
You forgot one thing:
Western Europe. It has also been going downhill since the early-to-mid 2010s due to instability in places like Africa and the Middle east (Syrian, Libyan, Yemeni & Afghan civil wars, dictatorships in West Africa and violence in East Africa), which has lead to mass migration. Now, I don’t mind migration to another country, but these refugees have been terrorizing and freeloading in Western Europe, which has caused the rise of nationalist, extreme right euroskeptic parties (in dumb American terms, Nazis but not really). For example: Alternative für Deutschland (AfD) in Germany. They’ve been on the rise since very recently, and if they win the upcoming election in Germany which is due to take place on February 23rd 2025, they are going to expel all migrants, yes, all. Even people who simply came to Germany to fill in the worker gap. That’s like if America ordered the explusion of all Mexican people from America because they’re “criminals”, even though many of them have nothing to do with crime and are in America for a better life & to fill in the gap of workers that America needs. They’ve also expressed leaving the EU, which would be an extremely idiotic idea. UK left the EU in 2020, and they’ve been plagued by tons of issues since Brexit, to the point many in the UK now wish to rejoin.
