So I went back to school today after a one week break. I use to be friends with this one girl until she told me she had feelings for me and when I told her I didn’t feel the same she started spreading fake rumors about me around the entire school and she would say that she was going to carve my name into her arm. She also threatened to commit if I didn’t get with her. We still talk sometimes but not as much. Today she came up to me and told me happy late birthday, and I told her thanks. During our English class she randomly came up to me and said “Why are you always like that” and she looked like she was about to cry. So I asked her what was wrong and she just walked away. Throughout the class she was throwing papers at me and sending me notes saying “Why are you so mean to me” CONTINUOSLY. Eventually I got pissed and asked her what her problem was, and she started crying out of nowhere. I asked her if my temper made her cry or whatever and she said that I hate her and always bully her. I just ignored her because I knew she was fishing for attention. When it was time for the bus to drop us home, we both had to sit in the same row. Her house key had fell out of her pocket. Before I handed it to her, she was smiling and laughing with some other guy, but when I handed it to her, she went all serious and started ‘pouting’. Then during the bus ride she started talking to me normally like nothing happened.
Is it wrong for me to be pissed? I genuinely want to know.

Is it wrong for me to be pissed? I genuinely want to know.You said it yourself–she’s attention-seeking, and you have the right to be upset about it. She’s attention-seeking, spreading things about you, etc. This is not on you. This is on her.
I know this might sound rude, but some people just have issues, and people like that need to get help. Threatening to KHS or harm themselves in some way just to get with you or get attention is entirely wrong, and messed up. You are completely in the right, and she needs to get help. -

rumi No, it’s not wrong at all for you to be angry. I don’t understand why this girl is acting the way she is, but there’s a very good chance it may either be attention-seeking or something underlying- either way, I doubt it was because of you. She may be trying to “get back at you” for letting her down about her feelings. Whatever it may be, it’s extremely childish, immature, and your reputation could get hurt as a result of said behavior.
I agree with some other posters who have already replied, you should definitely nip this in the bud and get some outside help if need be. I hope things go well! -

Thats just wrong with what shes doing. Threatening to do stuff to herself to try and get you with her is just crazy. You should explain to her that boundaries exist and shes crossing them severely -

rumi Like many people have said in this post, she is 100% in the wrong. I’m not sure what’s her problem, but clearly she needs to place her attitude in check. This is generally just abhorrent behaviour. I’m sorry you had to put up with this. She can fuck right off.
